The “G in the Gi” Ralek Gracie, or better known as the disgraced owner/operator of Metamoris the submission only grappling promotion has just inked a deal to fight for Bellator MMA.
Before swindling tens of thousands of dollars from competitors, fans, and event workers; Ralek had a young and promising career as an MMA fighter going 3-0 (2 submissions) and defeating Kazushi Sakuraba by unanimous decision in his last fight back in 2010.
In the past Ralek had said that he was going to compete in mixed martial arts to pay off the debt of Metamoris, but recently Ralek made a Facebook post stating that “we do not exist to pay our debts”. Hopefully this return to mixed martial arts competition is to do as Ralek originally stated, and hopefully his purse money will go to pay the competitors and make all this right again.
Ralek is planning on fighting in the Middleweight division, and is looking to make his Bellator debut at Bellator 170 on January 21st, 2017. The event is currently headlined by a bout between Tito Ortiz and Chael Sonnen and will take place in Inglewood, California.
